The Power of a Good Morning Routine

A morning routine is a beautiful thing!

And will fundamentally make or break the momentum of your day!

Developing a routine that serves your personal growth needs and allows you time and space to prepare for the day ahead will set the intention for the tone of the day.

Allowing yourself space before the busyness ensues will ease you into the day.

Imagine a quiet morning coffee before the kids wake, or just simply to enjoy before the rush begins.

Imagine time with your journal to clear the clutter from your mind before you take on the day!

Imagine having time to work out, have breakfast, meditate, enjoy the silence.

Does this sound impossible or too good to be true?

Guess what?!

It is entirely possible, you just have to decide that it is!

Start with setting the intention of waking one hour earlier than you usually do. Use that time for the things you require to ease you into  your day. Then as that gets easier, challenge yourself! Add in a workout! Write in a gratitude journal! Before you know it, this will be a sacred routine!

Trust me!

My morning routine has become sacred to me!
Starting the day with intention and doing the things necessary to equip your mind and body with what it needs for a productive, purposeful day is key!

What does this look like?

Well, for me this means waking up before my kids to allow for uninterrupted, undistracted, intentional time.
My alarm goes off at 6:00am (which is an hour and a half before my kids!) I start with a coffee, breakfast and my journal for a gratitude and personal check in.
Then 20 mins of mediation.
Followed by a 30 min ride on my spin bike!
Then a shower and I’m ready for the day!
It feels so good knowing I can get on with my day with my workout out of the way, fuelled up and from a place of gratitude!
I highly recommend developing a morning routine that works for your routine and allows you some time just for you!
