BRAVE. VULNERABLE. UNAPOLOGETICALLY HUMAN.

16 Canadian women, 16 brave stories, 16 beautiful reclamations.

I was honoured to write chapter 1 in this powerful anthology.

For too long, mental health has been controlled and manipulated by systems, labels, and prescriptions-reduced to a diagnosis instead of honoured as a part of our shared humanity.

This book is a reclamation:

  • For anyone who has ever been told they have a mental illness, a chemical imbalance, or emotions that require correction;
  • For those who have felt lost inside “the system”-where pills replace presence, and pain becomes profit-or have watched a loved one go down this challenging path;
  • For parents watching their children being labeled for their sensitivity, energy, or confusion in a chaotic world;
  • For everyone who senses there is more to this mental health conversation than meets the eye (or the prescription pad).

This book brings together the voices of Canadian women who chose to share their stories of their sleepless nights, racing thoughts, or waves of despair, and their journeys through pain, fear, confusion and sensitivity. These chapters are raw, tender, and courageous reminders that we are not broken-we are souls having a human experience.

May these words encourage you to remember your own wholeness and to begin reclaiming your mind, your story, and your self.
